'Song Like a Seed' - An Earth Day Concert & Bowker Creek Fundraiser

with Sara Thomsen Live

We are delighted to welcome Sara Thomsen for a fundraising Earth Day Concert 'Song like a Seed'. Originally scheduled as an in-person concert for Earth Day 2020, it had to be cancelled because of COVID. You will not want to miss this one, as well as joining us in support of the important work of daylighting Bowker Creek.

This Earth Day 2021 concert will bring to you a packet of songs like seeds to care for the earth and each other. Plant them in the crumbling cracks around your heart, your country, your world. It will be a healing balm, a call to action, to blossom, to fruit, to harvest. Each note a nudge to kindle the heart, to raise up voices, to plant our own songs, our dreams, like seeds.

Sara Thomsen’s soulful voice, poetic lyrics and unforgettable melodies cut through to the heart and the soul of human experience,” proclaims the Minnesota Women’s Press. Singer-songwriter Sara Thomsen’s home base is in the Lake Superior region near the Twin Ports of Duluth/Superior. In addition to her solo work, Sara is a weaver of song and community singing. Increasing wonder and awareness, deepening spiritual connection, and widening social engagement through song is at the heart of her work. Sara is the founder and director of the Echoes of Peace Choir and a graduate of the Community Choir Leadership Training program led by Siobhan Robinsong and Denis Donnelly of Victoria.
